Scholarships & Financial Aid
The scholarship was started in memory of Joseph James Morelli to help other young people with learning differences like Joseph who pursue a STEM field after high school to get recognition, support, and some financial support that can make a big impact on their lives.
Below are descriptions and links to scholarships available for Georgia students with learning disabilities. Some of these scholarships are awarded annually and the application period may or may not have passed by the time you read this. However, if the time has passed, we encourage you to continue checking the site of the scholarship you are interested in for the next round of funding.

Georgia Special Needs Scholarship: Funds can be used to pay for private tuition at a private school approved by the Georgia Department of Education.

Anne Ford & Allegra Ford Thomas Scholarship: These scholarships, awarded by a founding partner of the National Center for Learning Disabilities, range from $2,500 to $10,000.They are for high school seniors. training.
Karina Eide Memorial College Scholarship: Dyslexic Opportunity The Karina Eide Memorial Scholarship provides sixteen $2500 scholarships to dyslexic students currently enrolled in a US college, university or vocational school. The purpose of these awards is to identify and support the development of dyslexic students who have exceptional future potential and may not compete for other scholarships based on grades or test scores.
Rise Scholarship Foundation: Five $2,500 scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors who plan to attend college next year. Applicants must have a documented academic disability.
BMO Capital Markets Equity Scholarship through Lime Link Education: Applicants for the $10,000 scholarship must be disabled, attending a four-year college or graduate program, pursuing a degree in business/business, engineering, math, physics, statistics or a related subject, and an interest in a career in financial services.
Best Scholarships For Black College Students
Google Lime Scholarship: Applicants for this $10,000 scholarship must have a disability and be pursuing a degree in computer science, computer science or a closely related technical field.
Joseph James Morelli Scholarship: A $500-$2,500 scholarship supports high school and college students with dyslexia who want to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math.
Microsoft Disability Scholarship: A $5,000 scholarship for high school seniors who plan to attend a two-year or four-year university or college program. Applicants must live with a disability, have financial need and plan to major in engineering, computer science, or a business-related major.
AAHD Frederick J. Krause Scholarship on Health and Disability: Funds are awarded annually to a deserving student with a disability who is pursuing an undergraduate/graduate degree (must be enrolled in at least the 2nd year of college at the time of application) subject to University approval. The applicant must pursue studies related to health and disability, to include, but not limited to public health, health promotion, and/or disability studies. Applications are due on 15 November each year.
Personalized Education Program
Marion Huber Learning Through Listening Awards: These awards are presented to Ally Learning members who are high school students with learning disabilities, in recognition of academic achievement, challenging leadership, and service to others. The awards are given to six students chosen by a selection committee. The Ally Study featured three top winners of $6,000 each and three top honor winners of $2,000 each. Established in 2005, this scholarship is made possible by Princeton Post No. 76, American Legion. The American Legion was chartered by Congress in 1919 as a charitable, charitable, wartime veterans organization. Dr. Frank, who died in 2016, was a World War II veteran and business professor who for many years served as Treasurer for Princeton American Legion Post No. 76, according to his obituary.
The Sandra M. Glazier Scholarship Fund was established in memory of Sandy Glazier, founder of the Cancer Awareness Center of Point Pleasant. She was chosen to represent women fighting cancer by the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and was featured in the 2001 My Hope Calendar. Her leadership efforts were recognized in June 2000 when she received an Award Russ Berrie for Making a Difference. A vivacious person with a passion for life, and an inspiration to all, Sandy died on October 22, 2001 after a seven-year battle with metastatic breast cancer.
His family and friends have established a scholarship fund to fulfill one of his lifelong wishes to provide financial aid for college tuition for students whose parents have been affected by cancer, or who themselves have been affected by cancer to hurt
The scholarship is a tribute to Sandy’s life and interests and a reminder of not only her battle against a devastating disease, but her achievements as a mother, wife and breast cancer advocate.
Scholarships For Students With Disabilities
This scholarship is made possible by the generosity of two Community Foundation scholarships that support students who have been active participants in their communities: The Frank Clark Memorial Fund and the Bethany Scholarship Fund.
Frank Clark lived and worked in the Princeton area for 55 years. He spent most of his career as Director of the Princeton YMCA and left a legacy of community service.
In 1963, he created the local radio show “Young People Talk Up,” allowing young people to voice their opinions and interview adults. In 1979 he founded the Minority Journalism Workshop to attract talented college students to newsroom positions.
Mr. Clark provided constant encouragement to students, and raised money to help 56 attend four-year colleges. All he asked was that they “help someone else.” ” After his death in 1995, the Frank Clark Memorial Fund was established as a way to honor and maintain his generosity and humanitarian spirit.

The Bethany Scholarship Fund was also established in 1995. It was created by a young couple while enrolled in a local graduate school program in Mercer County. They want to provide scholarships for post-secondary education or training to motivated students who have worked in their community.
Established in 1981, this scholarship is made possible by the donation of A. Myrtle Hensor, a member of Princeton Business and Professional Women, Inc. (BPW).
Established in 1977 in memory of Louise Maas, a member of Princeton Business and Professional Women, Inc. (BPW). While at the club, Ms. Maas strongly advocates for scholarship funds to be used to prepare women for health professions, especially nursing.
Mary’s grandparents went to Idaho by wagon and settled on a ranch where they raised sheep. He spent many summers there, learning at a young age that education is important – lamb prices are unbeatable!
Scholarships For Hbcu Students
A graduate of Stanford University, where she also played field hockey, Mary moved to Princeton, where she married Edwin Wislar. His six children benefited from a good education, with three receiving Master’s degrees. He devoted much of his adult life to ensuring that there were learning opportunities for the youth.
Much of Mary’s free time was devoted to supporting her children’s schools, especially Newgrange School, where her youngest daughter attended and where Mary was Chair of the Board from 1982 to 1984. After her sudden and unexpected death in 1987, at the age of 57, Newgrange has established the Mary Elliott Wislar Library Collection to encourage reading.
Lion L. Woodward introduced the mission of Rotary – “Service Above Body.” He was a charter member of the Trenton Rotary Club in 1914, President in 1920, and District Governor two years later.
A graduate of business school in Lancaster, Pa., Lion came to Trenton in 1901 and got a job as a waiter at Fitzgibbon and Crisp Wagon and Carriage Company. He became president of the company 13 years later and turned it into a car body manufacturer.

In the year before his death, he was the CEO of the Auto Car Company, a growing manufacturer.
